Knowler Farm is a much-loved, fourth-generation family farm nestled in the Kent countryside, proudly run by the Gifford family.

The farm’s roots go back to the 1950s, when it was first established by Sheenagh Gifford’s parents as a pig farm. Over time, the family diversified  and the farm has continued to evolve ever since.

 

Sheenagh was born on the farm, and today she and her husband Wayne, along with their daughters Bee and Isla, are keeping the legacy alive. The newest member of the family, grandson Oliver, now marks the beginning of the fourth generation at Knowler Farm — a rare and special milestone.

Over the years, the Giffords have “done the lot,” as they put it. While they still keep some animals on the land — having always shared a deep bond with livestock — the farm has more recently branched out into new ventures, including welcoming guests to camp on the property.

​

In 2023, Sheenagh added another layer to the farm’s story by opening a small coffee trailer for weekend campers. What started as a modest idea quickly grew into a much-loved community hub, now open daily and supported by locals, regulars from neighbouring villages, and new visitors every day.

Knowler Farm continues to be a place of warmth, connection, and countryside charm — a working farm that blends tradition with community spirit, and always offers a warm welcome.
